Urimax 0.4 mg capsule is a prescription drug used in men to decrease the urine outflow resistance due to an enlarged prostate gland. The medication is an Alpha adrenoceptor antagonist used for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. Urimax 0.4 mg may cause lower blood pressure, so, should be used with caution. A patient who has a history of allergy or erectile dysfunction issues are recommended not to use this medicine.
Tamsulosin is a generic version sold under brands such as Urimax Capsules among several other trade names, is called alpha-adrenergic blockers. This medication is an anti-androgenic and should be used only on a recommendation of a health care provider.
Some medicines and Urimax may interfere with each other. You may have to stop taking one of the medicines if you are on a dose of Urimax :
- Doxazosin
- Prazosin
- Terazosin
- Silodosin
- Alfuzosin
- Warfarin
- Cyclosporin
- Calcium channel blockers
- Antiviral medicines for HIV infection
- Midazolam

How to take the drug:
