Norfloxacin is given to patients who get frequent urinary tract infections. It may help stop these infections from returning. The symptoms of a urinary tract infection may include an urge to urinate frequently and a painful burning sensation while passing the urine. Norfloxacin works by killing the bacteria which is responsible for causing these infections.
