Description

Tenof EM is prescribed in combination with other antiretroviral products for the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) in adults and adolescents from ten years of age and weighing 30 kg. It is a highly active antiretroviral therapy that has significantly reduced HIV-related death rate. Its once-daily dose makes it more difficult for HIV to multiply in the body of an HIV patient. This HIV drug comes with higher potency than traditional HIV drugs, along with fewer side effects and dosing convenience. Tenof EM tablet is a combination of two antiviral agents, Emtricitabine 200 mg and Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate 300, made to treat HIV, which causes acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDs). In conjunction with an antiretroviral drug, Tenof EM 300/200 is a preferred choice for reducing the virus in the body.

The medicine is not a cure for HIV, and it is only used to prevent the virus from multiplying in the body. One pill a day dosing convenience makes it an ideal choice for HIV treatment.
